We were part of D Co 1-35 AR during 1985-1989. Our black Labrador Retriever became the unofficial company mascot and her picture was added to Company pictures of all Soldiers in the Day Room (I think it was). I would love to find out how to track down that picture. She was the best dog I’ve ever had and I miss her very much. She would go downrange with my husband’s platoon.
Not to dispute your memory but I was in D Co 1/35 Armor in 1985 and dont remember any dogs that were mascots, not to mention it would be totally against Army regs to bring a dog downrange.
1SG’s name was Klein, and the Company Commander was Jessie White. I was his gunner.

was stationed there from Jan 1970 until Dec 1972 with my wife, second child was born at american hospital in Nuerburg

Was stationed there in the mid 80’s. Tons of memories and still in contact with one of the locals after 37 years.
